Environmental Policy

Brackadams Packaging Supplies Ltd recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods. We will encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same.

We will manage our product range to ensure that products in the range do not cause unacceptable environmental damage through its receipt, storage, and use or disposal phases.

We encourage our customers to carry out regular packaging reviews to ensure they are up to date with any new legislations and to make them aware of any new products that are environmentally friendly.

We ensure advice and information is freely available and encourage our own staff and our clients to communicate regularly to develop new ideas and initiatives.

We will develop the energy efficiency of our vehicles so far as is reasonably practicable. Future purchases and leases of vehicles will take account of the environmental impact of the models selected.

We aim to improve the energy efficiency of our premises. Existing buildings will be adapted where practical to improve energy efficiency. When considering future purchases or leases, account will be taken of the energy efficiency of the building, and of the energy costs involved in running those buildings.

Wherever possible we will seek to minimise waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods, namely;
– Through reduction in unnecessary consumption.
– Through purchasing recycled products and packaging for our own use.
– By sending used products and packaging to be recycled.
– Through reuse of packaging received.

The Safety & Environmental Manager is responsible for assisting management to implement the Company’s policies.

We will comply with all UK environmental legislation.
